When you make a booking via our online reservation system, you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the address you provide in the booking form. At this time the booking will be provisional and will only become confirmed when we at East Jordeston Cottages personally confirm your booking in writing by a letter of confirmation sent to you by email or post. We aim to respond to your booking request within 24 hours.
Your provisional booking must be confirmed within 7 days of booking by paying a deposit of 30% of the total booking value.
The balance of your booking must be received by 6 weeks before your holiday arrival date.
If your booking is made within 6 weeks of your arrival date, the full cost will be due at the time of booking.
The party leader must be at least 18 years of age and names and ages of each guest must be provided.
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us and confirmed in writing. The treatment of a cancellation will depend on:
- The date the booking was placed
- When the cancellation is made
Bookings placed AFTER 5th July 2020 and BEFORE the 8th January 2021 have cancellation protection cover under our Master Cancel Policy. (This is no longer available on bookings made after the 8th January 2021).
The terms for the Master Cancel policy are:
If you cancel your booking from 60 days, up to and including 2 days before check-in date, you will receive a full refund of your lodging costs at East Jordeston. Refund payments for a cancelled booking will be released back to you on the scheduled date of check-out of your original booking.
Cancellations made 1 day prior to, or on the day of check-in WILL NOT be eligible for refund. Example: for a check-in on a Saturday you could cancel the prior Thursday before 4pm and be reimbursed in full, but on the Friday (1 day prior) or Saturday (day of check-in) you will not be eligible for a refund.
Bookings placed BEFORE 5th July 2020 and AFTER 8th January 2020 are subject to the following terms and conditions and Covid Refund Guarantee.
If you cancel before the date the balance is due, and we are able to re-let your dates, we will refund you the deposit amount less an administration fee of 10%.
If we are unable to re-let your dates you remain responsible for the deposit and there will be no refund. From 42 days before check-in to the day of check-in, you remain responsible for the full rent and there will be no refund unless we are able to re-let your dates, in which case we will refund you all or part of the sum you have paid, depending on the value of the replacement booking, less a 10% administration fee.
Covid Refund Guarantee
If you are unable to travel to take your holiday because of a national lockdown or because you are put into a high Tier where you are not permitted to travel we will offer you a full refund. The Covid Guarantee applies only to the address given on the booking, at the time of booking, being put in a high tier or national lockdown and when the travel restriction coincides with the period of your holiday.
You will not be entitled to a refund if:
- You or members of your party are unable to travel after falling ill with Covid-19.
- You or members of your party have to self-isolate.
- You or members of your party have to quarantine due to track and trace.
- A member of your party has travel restrictions imposed
- For reasons unrelated to Covid-19
For all bookings placed we advise you to consider taking out travel/cancellation insurance. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
If we are are forced to cancel your holiday or can no longer fulfil your booking we will offer a full refund of monies paid.
We accept the following forms of payment:-
- BACS transfers (our preferred method)
- Debit cards
- Credit cards (except Amex)
Arrival & departure
Your cottage will be ready for you from 4pm on your arrival day.
You should vacate your cottage by 9.30am on your departure day.
Cottages and property
All of our cottages are furnished and let for the number of guests specified for each cottage. This number must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
During your stay, you are fully responsible and liable for the cottage and its contents. Please inform us immediately of any accidental damage or breakages so that repairs or replacements may be carried out. We reserve the right to charge for any breakages and you will be informed of any breakage payments due within 7 days of the end of your holiday.
The property must be left in the same state of cleanliness and repair in which it is found.
The use of drones, fireworks and night-lanterns is not allowed.
All personal belongings are at your own risk.
Power, heating fuel, bedlinen and towel hire are included in the rental price. We also provide free WiFi connection for internet access, although we cannot offer technical support or guarantee a connection or quality of service.
If your holiday is longer than one week, we will provide clean bedlinen and fresh towels after one week.
Smoking is not allowed inside any of the cottages.
No pets are permitted.
